At the Medical Center for Pain Relief, we strive to listen, examine, diagnose, and provide the best treatment protocol for the pain condition of each individual. Our physician, Dr. Steven A. Rupert, a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialist, has received training in orthopedics, neurology, rheumatology, and anesthesiology. Dr. Rupert also holds a subspecialty in Pain Management, having been board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
Our treatment philosophy is based on a team approach. We therefore address not only the patient's immediate physical needs, but also those limitations that grow out of his activities of daily living and working. Our team resources include occupational and physical therapists, psychologists, neurologists, rheumatologists, and surgeons, although in relieving pain, we always seek to minimize the need for surgery.
We treat spine disorders of the neck and back, headaches, post herpetic neuralgia (shingles), compression fractures, reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD), nerve injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, shoulder injuries, and pain in the hip, knee, ankle, and foot. If it hurts, we see it.
Often patients can become frustrated by the medical system. We seek to eliminate that frustration by giving personalized attention and by communicating complex medical issues in language and ways that are more easily understood, while we work to achieve our goal to reduce pain and restore function.
